On Her Majesty's Secret Service: Super Rare Uncorrected Proof (1963)
Jonathan Cape 1963 (288 pages): Near fine condition. An exceptionally beautiful example of this ultra-rare uncorrected proof. One of just 500 copies were printed; numbers of suriving copies can now be considered to be substantially lower - perhaps less than 100. Fewer still in this superb condition. This example is as good as you are likely to be able to find - presenting in excellent condition - clean, unmarked pages throughout; no loose pages, no inscriptions or writing of any sort. Firm binding; printed as called for in green soft wraps. There is just a light diagonal crease along the front wrapper. Bibliographer Jon Gilbert notes that this particular proof contains the most numerous, and the most substantive differences to the final published text. A stunning example of a tremendously scarce book, and one for the definitve Fleming collector.
