Goldfinger: 1st edition 1st impression (1959)

Jonathan Cape 1959 (318 pages): VERY GOOD book and jacket. Featuring an exceptionally good condition first state (five reviews of Dr No), jacket, which is also UNCLIPPED. DJ is bright and vivid, presenting cleanly front and back. DJ spine shows only minimal sun exposure, only the merest rubbing to spine tips and flap-fold corners, and just a hint of a rubbed out price on the face of the jacket (top right). Boards are pristene with as-new gilding. Internally the pages and page block are both exceptionally white and bright. Internal pages are annotation and mark-free, with no spotting or foxing, other blemished or owner's inscriptions. Comprising just a very small 24,000 first edition print run, this iconic title is becoming inceasingly hard-to-find in very good  condition. This is one of those rare examples. An overall super book, that presents very well indeed.
